Bring Scott Home!
As many of you know by now, our co-worker Scott Houck had a horrible scooter accident on his way home last week. He was taken to Bayfront Hospital and is being treated for massive head injuries. He is still in critical condition; the road to recovery will be a long and hard one. Scott has no health insurance as many people who work in the hospitality industry.
At this point we really don’t know how long his recovery will take and what kind of medical procedures, therapies and rehabs it will take to get him back on his feet. What we do know is that he will need all the help he can get from us so he can focus on healing.
Scott and Taylor, his wonderful and loving girlfriend, are the kind of caring people who always lend a helping hand to someone who needs it. After they moved to Gulfport they bought a little house for themselves, their dog Lacey, cat Simon and the three chickens;-). Scott works at Pia’s as bartender and Taylor is a server at O’Maddy’s. They are both beloved members of this community and now they need our support.
This is the time to give back to them. We decided to start this page to help Scott and Taylor be able to focus on Scotts healing. Going through a tragic event like this is hard enough without worrying about bills piling up or losing your house. It will be a long journey for Scott, Taylor and Scott’s children.
Let’s all step up and help them to get through this and lessen the financial stress they will be under.
We want him to come home to all of us.
