Morocco Earthquake Relief - Teen girls and women
Donation protected
On September 8th, a devastating earthquake hit Morocco, killing 2000+ and injuring many more. Rural communities in the High Atlas Mountains were at the epicenter of this earthquake, causing villages and towns to completely flatten, and roads to be blocked off. This fundraiser is hosted by various Moroccan students and Allies living abroad who care deeply for our home and those affected by this tragic event. The money raised by this fundraiser will go to the on-the-ground teen girl empowerment nonprofit - Project Soar - a reputable organization partnering with other on-the-ground organizations (including Picala and Maroc Jeunes). The funds from this effort will be used to purchase diapers, mentrual pads, and sanitary wipes to support mothers with newborns and mensturating girls and women. Supplies are being purchased every day with the money we raise, and delivered same day or next day to the Al Haouz region of Morocco, found at the epicenter of the earthquake. $800 of the donations have already gone to the purchase of 1600 Diapers, 60 Sanitation Wipes, and 120 pack of menstrual pads that have already arrived at their final destination, Amizmiz!
