Meet the Team
Liv Glassman (Writer) is a LA-based writer/performer hailing from the outskirts of New York City, aka beloved North Jersey. A graduate of Northwestern University’s Radio/TV/Film and Psychology programs, Glassman’s produced comedy pilot Fraternal won Northwestern’s sitcom grant and went on to receive accolades and screen at SeriesFest. Liv’s writing uses true stories to subvert expectations and flip stereotypes on their head. Her TV writing bug comes from a background in theatre performance and playwriting. Glassman’s satirical play The Jew Who Hated Chinese Food performed at the New York Theatre Festival in 2018. She is currently a TV Literary Assistant at United Talent Agency by day and a musical improvisor through Upright Citizens Brigade by night.
Brianna Barrett (Director) is a LA-based performer/director who loves to tell female-driven stories that explore the strength of human connection. Raised on New York bagels and pizza, she graduated from Rollins College in Florida with a BA in theatre performance. She went on to perform around the Orlando area, working on productions with National Geographic, the Orlando Shakespeare Company, and The Orlando and Atlanta fringe festivals. She recently wrote and directed the short film The Burden, which screened at multiple film festivals across the country. But more importantly, she loves her family, friends, and a good conversation over tea.
Clara Nevins (Producer) hails from Los Angeles and is interested in telling stories that examine femininity and the cultural prisms that shape and delude us. She recently graduated from Harvard with a BA in Social Studies and wrote her thesis on the history of women’s genres of television from the soap opera to contemporary shows like Fleabag and Girls. While at school, Clara produced and assistant directed short films for Harvard’s Art, Film, and Visual Studies Program. Clara also produced soccer player Megan Rapinoe’s Instagram Live show working with guests such as Cecily Strong and Glennon Doyle. She wants to convince all film lovers to get the app Letterboxd, loves to paint and hike, and she can make a mean olive oil cake.
Elijah McNally (Director of Photography) is a cinematographer and actor who recently graduated from Northwestern University. He has worked professionally in both capacities, and is excited to be exploring the uncommon combination of career paths. Prior to this one, he has been the cinematographer for a range of projects, stretching from dance pieces to shorts to documentaries. Most notably, he worked with Liv previously on a sitcom proof of concept that earned a spot in SeriesFest’s 2021 lineup. He’s thrilled to have the chance to bring her creative vision to life again!
Iman Lavery (co-producer) is a born and raised Seattleite and a recent graduate from Harvard, where she studied English with a minor in Film and Visual Studies. Her thesis tracked the evolution of Black-authored passing narratives in film and literature over the last century, from Oscar Micheaux to BlacKkKlansman. After graduation, she spent five months backpacking around the world before starting as an Agent Trainee at United Talent Agency. She is passionate about facilitating original storytelling, the Shiva Baby Cinematic Universe, Formula One, and Takis.
Elina Malamed (Makeup Artist) is a recent graduate from Washington University in St. Louis who moved from NY to LA to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She is a social media personality, makeup artist, actor, and model. She is super excited to be heading the makeup for her first film! Her days consist of making content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, walking her 80lb pitbull around Silver Lake Reservoir, emailing brands and searching for her next audition.
