Cancer Sucks

Please don’t share on Facebook, I don’t want Peter to know until it’s the right time. 

As you may or may not know, my brother Peter Savara is battling cancer.

One year ago he was diagnosed with rectal cancer. After oral chemotherapy and radiation they removed the cancer and he was left with a stoma near the end of last summer. He then started intravenous chemo with some bad side effects. The pick line caused a blood clot which lead to his right lung. He suffered a ton of pain. After that, he had to take high doses of blood thinner twice a day by injection intohis belly. 

He went back to work in order to pay the bills. We were hoping that this was the end of it but after his annual CT scan they found three spots on his liver. An MRI confirmed three tumours. As I write this he is currently having 30% of his liver removed. 

I’m asking for your support to help him through this hard time. He will likely be off work until the fall and could really use our support. He will need high dose chemo and with the side effects he received last time, he won’t be able to earn a living.

He may get upset that I’m doing this but he needs us.
