Help us make our short film!

Hey! My name is Phoebe Lloyd and I am producing Onswansya with my old friend and writing partner LJ Shulman Templin. This will be the second film we've made together, and we are so excited to use what we've learned to make something even bigger and better. Onswansya is a comedic story about creativity and hope. As young filmmakers, we know how important it is to have someone to look up to, but maybe, just maybe, our heroes need us just as much as we need them.

Onswansya is about Mikey and Grace, two broke twenty-somethings, who run into their favorite actor, Avery Kerrington (a B-list celebrity having a mid-career crisis), and convince her to come to a "show" at their apartment. With only two hours till their idol arrives, they scramble to construct a set, write a script, and wrangle an audience, all the while wondering if she'll even come.

We have a very modest budget on this project because of the incredible generosity and enthusiasm of our team, but nevertheless, filmmaking is expensive and there are some things we cannot pay for ourselves. Your donation will help us transport our cast and crew, feed everyone (and keep them warm in the January cold), and rent the last pieces of equipment we can't get through barter--and most importantly, would help many young artists working very hard to stay afloat!
