Help Soumaya Survive Cancer Gofundme campaign

My aunt, Soumaya is sick and needs your support and prayers. Soumaya is a 60 year old Lebanese citizen who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. In the wake of the Lebanese government’s collapse, the financial crisis, and massive hyperinflation, Soumaya was left with no medical coverage; a story all too common amongst the Lebanese.

The treatment for Soumaya’s cancer should be simple - she needs 6 chemotherapy sessions to shrink a tumour in her breast before having a surgery to remove the tissue. In Lebanon, this is not so simple. The cost of each session is $2100 (the average salary in Lebanon is about $75 a month), and to complicate matters further, the medication is not available in Lebanon. Soumaya’s family is struggling to find the medication abroad and to gather the cost of each session plus the cost of the mastectomy surgery.
