Two weeks ago (02/28/2021) while visiting family in Indiana, Jimmy experienced a stroke. He was not expected to make it through the night but miraculously survived. He is making small improvements daily but needs to get in to rehab for therapy as soon as possible. Jimmy recently passed a swallow test, allowing him to begin a liquid diet.
However, Jimmy is from New Jersey. His insurance will not cover his physical therapy in Indiana (or anywhere outside NJ), nor will it cover his transportation back to New Jersey. In addition, Jimmy's doctor will only sign off on Medevac transportation. This is a very expensive service.
Through this GoFundMe, we hope to raise enough funds to transport Jimmy back to New Jersey so he can receive physical therapy and work towards a full recovery!
