Hello, My name is Karla, and I'm reaching out to ask for help in this difficult time in my family's life. My husband, Brian, is facing a difficult medical journey. Due to complications from diabetes, he recently underwent a life changing lower leg amputation. This devastating event has had a monumentally negative effect on our lives both physically and financially. We are trying to put our lives back together while managing this new normal. Our goal is to raise 40,000 dollars to help cover medical expenses and the overwhelming cost of equipment, and prosthesis care. We also have the daunting task of modifying our home to make it more accessible. The out-of-pocket costs have become more than we can manage and we need your help. Every donation is appreciated and will have a positive impact on this unfortunate situation. If you are unable to give a donation, please share this story with your community and on social media. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you and God Bless, Karla W.
Hi my name is Brian.
I have been dealing with injuries starting in 2016. I was the primary worker in my home taking care of everything in our household. I have been on and off of work because of injuries not sustained at work that affected my livelihood. I had a foot injury in 2019 that caused me to be iff for over a year at that time. To keep benifets, I went back to work. Wasn't compleatly healed which started a cycle of we need our benifets and income to me being off again due to re injury. Got to the point where infection destroyed my foot preventing me from working. Ending this year when I had to have my foot removed. So I went from being the bread winner to a dependant. I had hope when I healed enough from the surgery that I could be fitted for a prostetic. 3 days ago the company said It would be complete before the holiday. I was then told I had to pay $5000.00 to get it. $2500.00 up front the 6 months to pay the ballance. But when I told them I could not afford to pay that much at once, I was told I could apply for hardship, but there is a waiting list. So I completed the forms and faxed them over same day, but now I have to wait and see if I am eligible. Im un employed, my wife dies nit make enough to cover the bills and I am in a situation I never planed to be in. If I can get the prostetic and rehab so I can walk again, I may be able to get back to work.
As of 11/27/2025 we need $5000.00 to purchase the prostetic for my right leg lower.
Any help is always appreciated. I thank everyone who has already helped, and everyone who has taken time to read this.
