Amber’s road to Recovery

Donation protected

Hi everyone who is reading this!

As some of you may know, Amber was in a near fatal accident the night of April 10th. She was initially admitted to the Espanola Hospital, but due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to Health Sciences North in Sudbury. She is still in intensive care, and has recently undergone surgery in her shoulder in which a steel plate and 9 screws were placed (oh dear).

With that being said, she will be off work for the next 6 months up to a year. She is now forced to move out of her current beautiful (but so damn far!) home. We will assemble a crew to pack her up, and put her things in storage while she recovers but none of this is easy for her and her littles. Her entire world is being turned upside down.

Her mother is currently applying for her benefits etc but the reality is that those will take quite some time to kick in, if at all. Her family and closest friends have decided to start a GoFundMe to help her during her time of need. Amber is used to working 50 plus hours a week and will now be getting a fraction of that should her benefits cover her recovery. She has such a long road ahead, besides her financials.
We’d like to step up in any way that we can for her. She has children that will need to be taken to and from daycare, their groceries, her groceries, etc amongst so many other things, and now vital items needed for her recovery. I feel that we may hear of people that would give the shirt off their backs for others, but for Amber, she really would. I can honestly and truthfully say that I would not be where I am today without her constant support and generosity. She is the sister I never had.

If you can help out in anyway, we would appreciate it more than you know! Things are also SO much more difficult with the current pandemic. None of her closest friends or immediate family (besides her mother) have been able to visit her and it will be like so for the foreseeable future. If you cannot donate and can only spread the word, this would mean the world as well. We deeply miss her, and want her to get back on her feet as soon as possible. Thank you times a million for taking the time to read this.
