Support Jennifer's Fight Against Brain Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Diana and I am Jennifer’s sister. I wanted to create a go fund me to help Jen and her family with medical bills and financial stress.
on September 23 she was found seizing by her 2 daughters (age 10 and 7). She never had seizures before. Her daughter Journey was able to call 911. She was rushed to the hospital where they found a brain tumor. She then was transferred to Northwestern for surgery. At her 2 week follow up she was told she had Grade III anaplastic Meningioma and will start radiation November 20th. We will need all the prayers and if you can donate anything it is so appreciated! I will attach her story below…
For those who know me (Jen) they know that 23 years ago I almost lost my life. Today, it’s impressed on my heart to share that on September 23rd 2024 God again said “NOT TODAY!”
Just before I had multiple seizures in front of my 2 youngest daughters (7yrs & 10yrs)
I could clearly hear in my spirit “DANGER”.
I text my oldest daughter trying to convince her to come home from her HS Senior Homecoming Olympics but was assured she was safe. I then immediately text my husband who was in Oregon working with the Ducks softball team but again was assured he was ok.
SO I PRAYED.
Not knowing what this “DANGER” was but that whatever this was it would be canceled in the name of Jesus and that God would bring protection and safety.
A little while later, I figured I would get our fall stuff out from the attic and start decorating our porch taking full advantage of that nice fall day.
Well not once but TWICE I attempted to go up and TWICE I was turned away. I came back out to the living room and layed across from our littles and that’s when the next 3 days became a blur. Our brave 10year old was able to calmly call my husband and together tap into 911. Medics arrived quickly and I was rushed to the nearest hospital. While my husband and sister were both trying to fly in from out of state, thankfully my best friend was able to rush over to the hospital and advocate for me until they were able to get there. Multiple scans would discover I had a “plum size” meningioma pushing on the right side of my brain. With God’s wisdom given to my family and also a Godly orchestration I was able to be transferred and operated on by one of the best brain surgeon teams at Northwestern hospital. Praise God It was successfully removed. However, at my 2 week follow up pathology would show it was an anaplastic grade 3 reoccuring malignant meningioma.
HOWEVER, the beauty of being a daughter of King Jesus is that I know I am NOT a statistic and I will continue to heal! I share all of this to only give Glory to the Most High and am here to share of his goodness and faithfulness even in the midst of our hardest storms. This is not a victim story but a VICTORY testimony. God never said it would be easy, we live in a sinful world as we are all sinners, but he does say that in our suffering we would never be alone. I was never alone! Not that day or ANY day. I will have radiation the end of this month and would love to have as much prayer lifted up for myself and my family along with my continued healing❤️Philippians 4:6-7 says : “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Thank you to everyone who has already joined us in prayer and support along this healing journey and to every medical team that has helped us get to where we are now. We know the best is yet to come ❤️. With Love and Gratitude, Jen and our Family❤️
