Hello everyone,
This is the amazing, graduating, 8th grade class from Pilsen Elementary, an inner city school in Chicago. They are intelligent, opinionated, full of personality, caring, and hardworking. They are a close knit group that has been working hard to make their last year together at their school a memorable one. When planning the typical 8th grade trip, the costs for Washington DC were too far beyond their economic reach. And so they opted to go for an educational camping trip instead at White Pines Ranch, knowing that the memories created while hiking, telling stories by the fire and learning about nature would last a lifetime. These students have been arduously selling chocolates in the community, fundraising at local establishments and creating opportunities to support their trip. However, their trip is on May 29th, and they are short on money and may not be able to experience this life altering event; many have not stepped out of the boundaries of the city. We are asking for your financial support to make this trip happen. Thank you for reading our story and considering our request.
