Hi, my name is Alice Dei-Sheldon, and I am fundraising for our 8th graders who attend Oyster-Adams Bilingual School in Washington, DC. Eighth-grade families are collaborating to provide four days of inclusive learning and graduation experiences. Due to the pandemic, families were left with no funding for end-of-the-year learning and celebration activities, and without these events, our 8th graders will have no culminating school experiences as they end their bilingual journey at the school.
After two years of no field trips and no opportunities to bond and learn outdoors and outside of the classroom, the Oyster-Adams Class of 2022 and their teachers are ready to celebrate once again!
Your contribution will ensure that everyone can participate in the events, including 20 students who need to be fully subsidized.
Any funds that we raise will go towards purchasing tickets, buses, and food for the following activities:
- A visit to Six Flags amusement park.
- A day at a park, including outdoor learning activities and community building.
- A day at Sandy Springs Ropes Course for outdoor learning.
- An 8th-grade dinner and dance boat ride celebration.
While we plan on holding several movie nights and bake sales, we know that these efforts alone will not be enough and this is why we need your help!
Please support our students and teachers by providing an experience they will remember for years to come!
