8th Annual Game on for Baal Dan

St. James Orthodox Mission Church’s annual fundraiser for Baal Dan has officially begun!

We ask that you help us by making a donation and by spreading the word by liking and sharing our giving campaign with friends and family. The first $2500 will be matched dollar for dollar by the St. James OMC Service Committee!

UPDATE as of 10/25: We have matched the $2500. We have another match being offered by an anonymous donor for up to $1500. We only have $499 to go to hit that match!

Our fundraiser finale Carnival is scheduled from 2pm to 6pm on November 12th. Please make sure to mark this on your calendars!

What we Love about Baal Dan:

Baal Dan helps vulnerable children in developing countries by providing small grants to grassroots organizations such as orphanages, schools, and care facilities. They have already helped over 10,000 children in 12 countries since it was founded.

Baal Dan uses a unique giving model to make the biggest financial impact possible, while maintaining accountability and transparency with its funding. Baal Dan provides one-time or focused multi-year grants for specific needs (food, education grants, installation of bathroom facilities, etc.) They also provide regular Facebook updates to its donors.

Baal Dan funds critical needs without creating unhealthy dependencies. There is an exit strategy for every grant provided, so the grantee can receive the assistance needed but have a plan for sustainability moving forward. Baal Dan is proud of its proven model, since 2005, of identifying, auditing, and monitoring trustworthy grassroots projects in developing countries.
