Welcome to the 8th Annual Charlie Cox Birthday Fundraiser for our chosen charity Sightsavers!
British actor Charlie Cox is especially known for his portrayal of Matt Murdock, a blind vigilante in Marvel’s Daredevil and Daredevil Born Again on Disney Plus. His latest show, Merv, is coming Dec. 10 on Prime Video. He’s also famous for the Irish crime drama KIN and, of course, for his appearances in the MCU in Spider-man No way Home and She-Hulk Attorney at Law. Apart from all of this and his other movie and tv performances Charlie has also performed on the stage in the plays Betrayal and Incognito.
Charlie’s birthday is December 15th and instead of sending birthday presents every year, we (his fans) decided to create this fundraiser, as an appreciation for Charlie’s endless generosity and in the vein of something we thought he’d enjoy. Over the past 7 years, we have raised a staggering $22,600 for three different charities but this is our sixth year supporting and raising funds for Charlie’s favourite and requested charity Sightsavers. As he has said every year, “it’s the best gift anyone could give me.”
Starting this Monday, December 8th, until midnight Tuesday, December 16th, we’re hoping Charlie’s fans will come together once more and help raise money for this very worthy cause. Any donation big or small is loved and appreciated. If your employer does corporate matching on charitable donations, please contact us so we can that to the total. Donations from any currency will be converted.
This is the most exciting bit, every year you can leave a birthday message for Charlie with any donation you make. He likes to pop in during the week and read all your birthday messages he’s also donated himself many times. After successfully making your donation, you will receive a prompt to share the fundraiser. Please do that and help get the word out. We are currently living in hard times and I know the cost of living is way too much so if you are unavailable to help financially you can help by sharing and telling everyone on different platforms about our fundraiser, I would really appreciate that.
