9th Annual Billy D'Antonio Summer Classic

The 9th annual Billy D Classic is less than one week away! Since 2013, we have raised over $365,000, so I would like to personally thank all of you for contributing to that accomplishment. It has come through many generous donations (large and small) to Nativity Preparatory Academy. Many of us have contributed because Billy touched our hearts in some way, but there is another reason to contribute: Opportunity.
The Rochester City School District is consistently among the WORST in the United States where the graduation rate hovers around 50% each year. Nativity effectively changes the odds as 90% of its students will go on to graduate high school. In fact, nine members of the class of 2017 are presently working on their college application process. Additionally, all 16 of the graduates of the class of 2019 not only successfully matriculated to private, college preparatory high schools but have successfully completed their freshman years.
Nativity, a school where Billy taught, uses mostly donations, fundraisers, and foundation support to provide unique opportunities that these student would not usually have. Nativity has opened its doors and poured its resources back into the community for its students and they have responded. In 2020 and 2021, in the midst of a global pandemic, Nativity boasted an impressive 95% attendance rate using both in-person and virtual learning.
