Help paying for mental health treatment for my son
My 17-year-old son is an amazing young man, but he has struggled quite a bit over the past several years. Out of respect for him, I won't share too many details about his story, but he does have a significant history of trauma that has contributed to his current struggles. Last year, he spent time in an inpatient substance abuse/behavioral health treatment program called Anasazi, and it made a big difference for him. It was honestly pretty life-changing for him. However, he still has some significant struggles, and we feel he should return again. It is not covered by insurance and costs a little over $32,000 in total, but he has, thankfully, received $18,000 in scholarships already, leaving a little over $14,000 to pay for. He is scheduled to go very soon on February 24th, so we don't have much time to raise the funds, but we are hoping and believing it will happen.
When we sent him last year, it was on more of an emergency basis, and we were not able to wait to apply for some of the available scholarships, so we had to take a loan to pay for most of it. We also sent another of our children and paid for most of that out of a loan as well. We do not have the funds to pay for this again and do not have the means to take on more debt, so we are leaving this in God's hands to provide. Would you please help with whatever is on your heart to give, and would you please share with anyone else who may be able to give as well? We are also thankful for any prayers for him and our entire family. Thank you!!
Also, I have set this up to donate directly to Anasazi, and they will be applying the donations to my son's account. But if he is unable to go for some reason, please know that these funds will go to other youth who will benefit from this program. It is an amazing program that has brought healing to many young people and their families.
