Hello, my name is Veronica and I’m from Miami, Florida, USA.

2. Where I’m from

I currently live in Miami, Florida, but I have close family ties to Westmoreland, Jamaica, where my fiancé's family resides.

3. My relationship to those affected

My fiancé's family live in Westmoreland, one of the hardest-hit parishes after Hurricane Melissa, the Category 5 storm that struck Jamaica on October 29, 2025. Their homes and many in their community were severely damaged — people are without shelter, electricity, food, and clean water. I am raising these funds to help my fiancé’s family and their neighbors recover and rebuild.

4. How the funds will be spent

All funds raised will go directly toward relief and recovery in Westmoreland.

Here is how the money will be used:

Emergency supplies: food, clean water, clothing, hygiene kits, and medical supplies.

Shelter repair and rebuilding: purchasing roofing materials, tarps, lumber, and tools to repair homes.

Community recovery: helping families and small businesses (such as farmers and shop owners) restore their livelihoods.

Funds will be collected by me, Veronica, and then sent directly to my fiancé’s family and trusted community contacts in Westmoreland who are coordinating the local relief efforts.
