Hello, I'm Andrea Little and I'm fundraising for Elizabeth Hopper. On Friday October 10th, Elizabeth got a shocking text from her neighbor that her house had burned down. Her downstairs neighbor's electric bike battery had exploded in the living room, causing a fire that spread across the whole building.

In the 8 years she lived there, she put a lot of love and care into making her house a home. Almost all of her possessions are completely destroyed, and the few irreplaceable items she did manage to save (like family photos) are severely damaged. She had over 60 plants she tended to daily and two fish tanks she adored and cherished. She cared for her fish so deeply that the first thing she did when the firefighters let her in was beeline to the fishtanks to see if she could save them. Sadly, the few that were rescued died shortly after from the heat, smoke and poisoning.

She has been working to rebuild the sanctuary that was once her home, starting with the essentials. It has been an overwhelming process, replacing everything from small essentials like hairbrushes to getting all new furniture. It has been a huge financial burden, and every bit that you can contribute helps us immensely. Thank you for reading, and please help us support Elizabeth in rebuilding her beautiful home.
