It is with great sadness to announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved Epifanio Rubio.
What happened?
Our father was admitted to the hospital September 23rd due to breathing problems. He was diagnosed with blood clots in both lungs. The doctors also found cancer in the lungs that had metastasized (spread) to the brain. He was ready to come home a few days later, but he suffered a hemorrhage in the brain (bleeding in the brain) and passed away Saturday October 3rd. It was unexpected and sudden.
He was indeed a beautiful and amazing man. A man that encouraged his loving wife, kids, and family to always do their best and be independent. A man that never punished or yelled and was extremely patient. A man that showed his love for his wife, kids, family, and friends everyday. A man who always made his wife and kids the top priority and worked hard through sickness and health. A man who always showered us with knowledge and advice. A man with a smile that had no end. We will miss his kindness, love, warmth, smile, and laughter.
Rest In Peace Dad, Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend. You are forever loved and will forever be missed.

¿Que pasó?
Nuestro padre ingresó en el hospital el 23 de septiembre por problemas respiratorios. Le diagnosticaron sangre en ambos pulmones. Los médicos también encontraron cáncer en los pulmones que había hecho metástasis (se había extendido) al cerebro. Estaba listo para regresar a casa unos días después, pero sufrió un derrame cerebral hemorrágico (sangrado en el cerebro) y falleció el sábado 3 de octubre. Fue inesperado y repentino.
De hecho, era un hombre hermoso y sorprendente. Un hombre que alentó a su amada esposa, a sus hijos y a su familia a hacer siempre lo mejor y ser independientes. Un hombre que nunca castigó ni gritó y fue extremadamente paciente. Un hombre que mostraba su amor por su esposa, sus hijos, su familia y sus amigos todos los días. Un hombre que siempre hizo de su esposa e hijos la máxima prioridad y trabajó duro a través de la enfermedad y la salud. Un hombre que siempre nos colmó de conocimientos y consejos. Un hombre con una sonrisa que no tenía fin. Extrañaremos su amabilidad, amor, calidez, sonrisa y risa.
Descanse en paz papá, esposo, hijo, hermano, tío y amigo. Eres amado por siempre y siempre te extrañaremos.
