Support Kristina Youb's Fight Against Cancer

Dear Friends and Family of Team Youb,

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support for Kristina Garbaria-Youb and her family during this incredibly difficult time.

Kristina has dedicated her adult life to bettering the lives of children, serving as a devoted pediatric nurse at the Stollery Children's Hospital for over 16 years and as a dance teacher for decades. Her love and dedication to her community have touched countless lives, and we know that many of you have been fortunate enough to experience her infectious smile and sense of humour.

However, our beloved Kristina has recently recieved some heartbreaking news. In April 2023, after experiencing double vision and further nerve pain and numbness, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor that required immediate surgery. On May 5th, 2023 the tumor was successfully removed. On May 12th, 2023 she received the devastating news, further tests revealed that Kristina has stage 4 metastatic cancer of the brain and lungs.

Kristina, Walter and Cadence have been touched by the outpouring of love, messages and support that they have received from their friends and family during this trying time. They are immensely grateful for all the offers of help and support. We want to do everything we can to help alleviate some of the burdens that they will face in the coming months. As the Youb family faces this long and challenging road ahead, we are asking for your support in any way that you can give. We have launced this GoFundMe campaign to give you the opportunity to offer your support to the Youb family. Any contribution, no matter how small will help to ease the financial strain of everyday tasks and unforseen expenses during this time. We know that Kristina's positive spirit and the love and support of her community will help her fight this battle with strength and courage.
