Supporting Steve and His Family During an Unimaginably Difficult Time
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share news about someone who has spent his life protecting and serving others. As some reading this will know, Steve, a dedicated police officer and a deeply loved member of our policing community, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Terminal brain cancer.
Steve, known for his kindness, his warm smile, and his friendly nature, he is the type of person who would do anything for anyone. Whether he was supporting a colleague, helping a friend in need, or going the extra mile for a stranger, he has always led with a generous heart.
For years, Steve has shown courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment in his role. He has stood beside families during their worst days and poured his heart into making our community safer and stronger. He has always been the one to step forward when someone needed help.
Now, it’s our turn to step forward for him.
This heartbreaking diagnosis comes after Steve and his family have already weathered more than their share of challenges over the years. Steve was seriously injured in the line of duty when attending an incident and protecting the public in 2019. They have faced multiple difficult events — each one testing their strength, resilience, and unity. And just as they continued to push forward with hope, they were met with this devastating news.
Despite everything, Steve’s greatest pride and joy remains his family.
They are doing everything they can to cherish the time they have together — creating memories, holding close to one another, and trying to find moments of peace in the midst of unimaginable pain. The emotional strain during this time will be overwhelming.
We are asking for your support and any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping to support Steve and his family as they navigate the coming weeks/months of their journey in this chapter of uncertainty. We want to make it possible for them to create lasting, meaningful memories together while they still can.
If Steve has touched your life — through his service, his kindness, or simply by being the incredible person he is — we invite you to join us in lifting him and his family up now.
Thank you for standing with Steve, just as he has stood with all of us. Your generosity, love, and support at this time, mean more than words can express.
