James Parker born May 8, 1980 of New Braunfels, Texas succumbed to his battle with cancer on Sunday February 18, 2024. James was born and grew up in the San Benito, Tx area. The Valley was his home. In his early years, he loved working on the family ranch and participated in rodeos. He worked as an underwater welder, worked on oil rigs/oil fields, and construction. Most recently he worked for Zachary Construction as a diesel mechanic/welder.

James is survived by his wife Shannon and son Zane. He is survived by his father Les, stepmother Sara, mother Judy, and brothers Brian, Steven, and Blaine and their families.

His greatest joy was spending time with his son Zane. James was a boy scout and continued his scouting career with his son Zane. One of his greatest joys was helping his son make Eagle Scout. He loved to camp and join in on all the activities of scouting. James and Zane loved to camp, fish, hunt, and be outdoors.

James requested not to have any memorials or services. Instead, he asked that the family and friends throw him one last barbeque.. He asked that no one is to cry or be upset and talk about all the good times as he would be there in spirit. The barbeque will be scheduled later date in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for a GoFundMe page to help pay for his medical bills.
