Hi. If you do not already know us, we are Hayden and Harrison Jones. We are currently training for the 2016 Diving U.S. Olympic team trials. We will be competing together in the synchronized 3m springboard event as well as individual events; Harrison on 10m tower and Hayden on 3m springboard. We are super excited to be pursuing this dream, as brothers, and are having a blast training together.
We have both been diving since we were very young and competed at national and international levels.
To-date we have self-funded all of our living, travel, and training expenses, working part-time and training as much as we are able. We are currently living and training in Denver, CO with the Mile High Dive Club, but as the Air Force Academy is going to shut-down for major renovations on May 15th, we will be finishing our training for Olympic Trials in San Antonio, TX.
We have also realized we need to focus 100% of our time on diving so we are not at a competitive disadvantage to many of the other top divers who receive monetary assistance for training and living expenses.
We are raising money for travel and training expenses including gas, lodging, plane tickets, and all of the myriad other expenses necessary to support ourselves while we are pursuing our Olympic dream. Our expenses will exceed the goal we have set for this fundraiser; however, we feel confident that if we can raise this amount, we can come up with the remainder needed to help us be successful.
We have devoted much of our lives to this sport we love and our Olympic aspirations. Any level of donation is greatly appreciated, much needed, and will enable us to train effectively and compete at our full potential.
