Never did I think I would be staying up late to create a GoFundMe account for myself, and especially for this reason. This past weekend, my home suffered a severe fire and we lost most of our possessions in our bedroom and home. It was an extremely scary and devastating situation, and I am still in shock dealing with the loss of not just my things but my home. It’s been very tough for me, and even to post this is difficult.

But I look back at all the people I know I’ve been there for and helped in the past, and I hope those can be here for me and my family (Leo and Jose) to help us get on our feet in our home. Even if we were able to salvage things, most of it was damaged by the smoke. Right now, it’s just one day at a time for us, and we’ve been so lucky for the support from our family.

And unfortunately we did not have renters insurance. :(
