Hi, my name is Simon and I’m attempting to do this go fund me page on behalf of my good friend Sam (I’ve never set up a go fund me page so excuse me if it’s bad).

Sam has had a terrible run of bad luck in recent months - her mother in the UK passed away (on Sam's Birthday of all days), necessitating Sam to go back to help attend family matters. As she was there, her husband of 12 years decided to have an affair and told her he wanted a divorce and was leaving upon Sam's return. This left her with the 2 large dogs and a house to take care of herself-she of course had to downsize to an apartment to help make ends meet as her funds were limited. Sam is incredibly kind and social, and overall is a genuinely bubbly person but the bad luck has certainly taken its toll.

Her dogs (Snoop & Florence) mean the absolute world to her, more so now than ever before. They are both big bundles of love and are her main companions and support animals with all she has gone through.

She hasn’t been out in months due to work and mental health, so last night we decided it was time to finally go see some music to get some fun back in.

Basically we went out and 2 hours into our night she gets a call from the fire brigade stating her apartment is on fire and the dogs are very sick (toxic smoke inhalation) One is very touch and go the other seems to be recovering quite well. The fire brigade assessed that Florence has managed to hop up to the oven and knock the electric hot plate on, starting a fire in the kitchen which spread fumes and flames through the house. Sam now has got no home to live in, multiple possessions damaged and two sick dogs. The vets bill has been building up ($3500 as it stands) and it appears she will lose the bond, doesn't have insurance for pets or house, and has had to ask if they can do a payment plan. (I’m sitting at the vets now as she’s asking about payment options.)

To put a long story short, it’d be nice to be able to surprise her with how good people can come together to help others that are struggling in hard times - ANY amount will help bring Sams smile back and hopefully take some of the already building mental and financial stress off her shoulders. We want to show her the world's not always bad to good people.
