Willows emergency vet fund

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Colette. I have a service dog named Willow that I've been training to help me with PTSD and support me through my genetic cancer journey.

Unfortunately Willow developed grand mal and cluster seizures a few months ago. This is an added expense I did not expect. I have been trying to advocate for myself with provincial disability to be approved for service dog funding, but my application has been rejected and I'm currently appealing the decision. My worker has also rejected my application for transportation to the veterinarian to maintain my service dogs health.

This is where I need Community support right now. I don't have my own transportation and unfortunately I don't have anyone to drive me right now. It's approximately $90 for a taxi to take him to the vet on top of the blood work and medication Willow needs to manage his seizures.

I would appreciate any support to help with transportation costs as well as veterinary Care to deal with Willows medical emergency. Can you please help?

The medication the vet originally put Willow on, phenobarbital is not stopping the cluster seizures. They would like to send him to a neurologist. I have spoken with the closest neurology clinic that works with my veterinarian and they said the initial appointment with workup is $310.75. I will also need to taxi there as I don't have my own transportation. Unfortunately this will be the biggest expense at over $400 to go there and back.

After submitting my appeal to disability for service dog funding I was informed there is additional paperwork that I need to submit in order to process the internal review. This has delayed any progress in my ability to receive the support I need to maintain my service dog through disability Services.

Unfortunately I've had to use all of the donations I've received so far to maintain Willows medication to try and help manage his seizures. I need to keep fundraising to get him to the neurologist vet
