Yeshiva

Hi my name is Gabriel Salama, I am 18 years old. I grew up in an orthodox jewish family, we lived the modern jewish life. We observed Shabbat and Jewish holidays very conservative. About 10 years ago my parents decided to do Teshuva and become orthodox. We started keeping shabbat, kosher, learning everyday at home and at Shull. I became fully aware of the religion and went to a private jewish school, then after I went to a charter school. I realized that was not my environment for where I wanted to be in my path of religion, I asked my parents to switch me to a yeshiva called YOM. I got in, we were learning everyday I fell in love with it, all I wanted to do was learn all day at school. After the year finished I found out about yeshivas in Israel, where you learn everyday all day not just a regular school. My goal is to raise just enough money so I can go to Israel and continue my path of religion and build my connection with Hashem stronger than ever. To become a torah talmudic and raise my spiritual level to continue my path and hopefully be a positive contributing member of our community.
