Help the Morales Family

Hi, I am Stevie Roberts, a Life Skills special education teacher at Fredericksburg High School. I am creating this fundraiser for the grieving family of one of my most dearly loved students, Christopher Morales. Christopher is a 14yr old freshman with Autism who has stolen the hearts of all of our staff. Earlier this year, we had COVID spread through our classroom and Christopher was one of the students who got sick.

At home it spread through his family. His mother, Alice Morales was admitted to Fredericksburg Memorial Hospital and put on a ventilator. She remained on a ventilator for 3 weeks until life flighted to San Antonio, where a neurologist was finally able to safely remove the ventilation and move her to rehabilitation.

During this same time, Florentino Morales Sr. was put in intensive care at Fredericksburg Memorial Hospital. Christopher’s older brother, Florentino Morales Jr. then stepped in to take care of Christopher and his 12-year-old sister, Maelie. The road to recovery for Christopher’s family has been difficult.

On Friday, November 18th, Alice Morales received a phone call that her husband had a stroke and Monday, November 29th, Florentino Morales Sr. passed away.

Florentino was a hard worker, loving father, and the sole provider for his family. He will be greatly missed.

This fundraiser is needed to cover memorial and funeral expenses left to Alice Morales. All funds will go to Alice Morales and be used to support her family through this difficult time.
