My wife Andrea has been struggling with Lyme disease for several years. Nearly six months ago, her medical specialist also discovered that she has a severe toxic reaction to mold. We found out that our beloved apartment of six years had a bad mold problem, and this is where the wild ride really began. This involved losing all of our belongings because they had been contaminated by mold. For many years we had been slowly been building a base of various medical equipment that enabled her to survive various tortuous aspects of her illnesses. Because of cross-contamination with mold, most of that equipment was rendered un-usable.
             The purpose of this fund-raiser is to replace her oxygen machine, which is a non-negotiable in terms of her being able to fight off viruses with her low immunity and survive lyme herxes. In addition, there are various treatments her team of doctors have prescribed that are currently out of our financial range because of the chaos of this catastrophe. This fundraiser will help us get some of the testing not covered by our insurance plan, and get us a start in some treatments that might be able to help her with Lyme, mold toxicity, and other coinfections related to these diseases.
