Who We Are

We are UMOJA, a registered charitable association in Ireland, uniting Swahili-speaking Congolese—mainly from the war-torn East of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Our mission is to raise awareness, advocate for peace, and provide support to those affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Eastern Congo.

Why We Are Fundraising

For over two decades, Eastern Congo has been ravaged by war, leaving millions dead, thousands of women raped, and millions displaced. The world watches in silence as the region is plundered for minerals used in phones, electric cars, and computers—while innocent people continue to suffer. We refuse to let this crisis be ignored.
