Hello, I am raising money on behalf of a close family friend, Richard Vega his family Heather and Axton. On August 28 2025, Richard Vega received a heart bypass surgery during which he suffered serious complications including multiple strokes in which he subsequently lost full functionality of the right side of his body and can no longer walk or care for himself. He has also lost part of his left foot. He has been hospitalized since his surgery and cannot return home without constant care and modifications made to the home in order to make it wheelchair accessible. While he is fighting hard for his recovery, the mounting medical expenses have totaled over $2 million dollars and will continue to rise along with the necessary future medical care. We are humbly asking for any donations to help cover the vast array of costs and alleviate some of the financial burden this tragedy has placed on his family.
