Gus needs your help

Hi, my name is Phil and this is my less than 3 year old Boston terrier named Gus.
Last Sunday(the 9th) evening, we were out in the backyard at my moms house which is fully fenced in. Gus was doing his business when suddenly a cat with no tags or collar took a run at him. Gus had no clue what was coming, he was quite frightened but he seemed OK and had no externally visible wounds. However it seems the little bastard caught him in the left eye.
We monitored him that night and gave him some drops, we could see that it was starting to swell so we took him to the animal hospital Monday morning to get checked out by the optimoligist.
Gus has been diagnosed with a pretty severe trauma induced Corneal Ulcer. Which can cause infection and vision loss, it can also result in full removal of the eye if untreated.
It was decided that the best route to avoiding a surgery, 3000$+, was to be very aggressive with medication in hopes to get ahead of infection and growth. So to avoid the vet bills from running up even higher, we decided to take our boy home and I would stubbornly attempt to do the work of several vet-techs on shifts around the clock. Gus has 5 different medications, all going into the one eye. Two antibiotics, a blood serum, morphine and a lubricating drop.
He gets 72 drops in every 24h period based on the prescriptions, the tricky part is they need to be spaced out at least 10 minutes apart from eachother. This chaotic schedules longest break and chance for rest for either of us is 40-50 minutes depending on the hour. We are both very much exhausted.
All that being said, we met with the optimoligist today and got some good news. Our efforts have not been for nothing, Gus is showing improvement but we aren't out of the woods yet. We need to keep our intense 24hr schedule going until Tuesday the 18th and surgery isn't off the table however it does look like we've prevented the possible need for removal. So that's good news!!
Thankfully we do have insurance, it's the only thing allowing us to provide this help for Gus. However by Tuesdays appointment if we have no further complications, we will be out of pocket 1000$+ with the possibility of it being much high. I will have lost over a week worth of wages and we aren't done the battle yet.
So it seems I can rant and explain well, however I have forever had a hard time asking for financial help. Times are tough and recent events have made this much harder on us.
I can't stress enough though how much Camille, Gus and myself would greatly appreciate any possible help. Gus means the world to us and we won't stop fighting to help our boy.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you so very much if you can help out in any way.
