Serrano's house fire fund

Man who knew what 3/16/16 would turn out to be. So far the day had been positive and a normal Spring Break morning. My family and I were getting ready to go bowling I got a phone call that changed everything. It was Brian (the dad of the Serranos) and he told me to go to his house because it was on fire. I reacted as if it was a joke but then knew he wouldn't joke about that. I told him of course and at that time he had very little info to tell us . The reason he needed me to go and check is because him and the family just left for vacation the day before. I pull up to the house and see the fire dept still there and the entire front entrance to the house is charred black. There were no door or windows...just a big pile of black. So overwhelming I'm shaking and not sure what I can do. I've never experienced this before. I talk to the fire dept and get a little info and just stand there in complete shock as they keep turning the black pile making sure the fire was completely out.  Later on I was aloud to rally up some friends and family to help get some of the items out of the house. It's a very eerie feeling going into a house that has charred walls and spaces you can see where pictures once hung. I am very thankful that the family was not there and this story only is about the house. Everyone is ok but most of their belongings have major smoke damage. I am reaching out to my friends near and far to see if you can help out in any way. They are moving to an apt that the rental company is placing them in and are only taking the items that they had with them on their vacation (a few pair of clothes). As you know this family is always opening their arms and thinking of others. I can't think of anytime that someone they knew needed help with moving, mowing their yard, taking care of pets,  letting them stay at their house for a few days or longer, and using their washer and dryer to do laundry when they didn't have a machine. They have loaned out items and given money to people when they were in a bind. They do these things because they love helping others with nothing expected in return!  Even the kids are a part of this and they are wanting to help when they can. Anyone that knows Brian and Michelle know that they always put their kids first and are very selfless. They are more concerned about the kids at this moment and their needs than their own. Their house is always so alive and our extended family spot for all festivities. Now it's our turn to help them!!!  Give what you can and it will help them tremendously on this tough journey that they have in front of them!!!
