Support Barb After Losing Her Beloved Husband Walt

On March 8, 2025, our beloved friend Barb, AKA

"Cookie Barb," lost her best friend and husband of 56 years to a demon called cancer. The fight lasted nearly 2 years. There was a plan of care, but cancer is cunning, baffling, and powerful. They lost the battle, and Walt went to be with his Creator.

When these two lifetime companions were faced with the diagnosis of cancer, there was no discussion of whether the path to cure would fit into their budget. They became warriors and came out fighting through chemotherapy, immunotherapy, ER visits, hospital stays, trial drugs, blood transfusions, and multiple specialists.

They were both retired, but Walt was able to do some part-time work from home. They both loved their former jobs, but unfortunately, neither job offered post-retirement pensions. Money became tight. Barb now has to manage funeral expenses, medical bills, bills past due, and current living expenses. This all has to be done on a single monthly Social Security check.

Barb is a gentle and kind friend to many. She is a dedicated baker for all her church meetings. She openly greets and welcomes everyone with a warm smile and hug. Assistance and prayers are now being humbly asked for our sister in service and our beloved friend.
