Bonnie’s Battle

Our dear friend Bonnie is once again, facing an uphill and uncertain battle with cancer. First diagnosed with kidney cancer in June of 2021, Bonnie’s life came to a complete halt when she learned that a large tumor in her right kidney was malignant. A single mom of 3 children and 4 grandchildren who has lived on her own for years, she knew that the choice to fight it was the only option for her. In July 2021 she had her kidney surgically removed and prayed for remission.

One year later, and dealing with several physical repercussions from surgery, she celebrated her 1 year clean from cancer this July, 2022. The celebration was short lived. Two days after her 1 year anniversary date she was rediagnosed with Reoccurring Renal Cell Carcinoma. This time, in her adrenal gland. Bonnie is facing more surgery in September 2022 to remove the adrenal gland followed a rigorous long term cancer treatment plan.

For those of you that know her, you know she is a loyal and caring friend, mother and grandmother who is always there for her family and friends. Bonnie will now need to step away from work in order to prioritize her health.
