Troy's Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Alex, and this fundraiser is to help with Troy Wimpey's (my dad) medical expenses. On July 30 of this year, he tested positive for Covid-19. What we thought would be a couple of weeks at home in quarantine has turned into the worst illness my dad has ever had. He is currently in ICU at Memorial Medical in Savannah, GA, sedated and on a ventilator. According to his doctors he will remain there for at least another month, after which he will be moved to another unit, and will need extensive therapy to fully recover. As of this time, for his hospital stay in Savannah alone, the room and board expenses are at $173,600. This does not include the stay in the hospital in Vidalia, the Medivac flight to Savannah, or any of the bills from the doctors or medical care he has received. We have no way of knowing exactly how much his medical bills will amount to by the time he is able to come home to us.

Being self-employed, he does not have insurance, so every bill will be paid for out of pocket. All of my life, my dad and my mom, Sabrina, have been the first people to step in and lend a helping hand, financial or otherwise. I have had many friends and family ask if they could help financially, and I would love to be able to help take some of the financial burden from their shoulders now that they are the ones in need. If you are able to give, it is deeply appreciated. If you can't, then please pray for his recovery. More than any amount of money, we need God to touch Daddy's health and help him heal.
