Relief Fund

In life it can be so hard to follow your dreams.  It can be even harder to see them disappear.  This is our story and it is equally  hard to ask for help. 

As two hairstylists with pure grit and determination we opened our own salon 8 years ago. We had a dream of creating a safe and welcoming environment for all types of clients and stylists.  We were able to purchase our first home in 2014 and started a family with two children in 2017. It wasn't easy by any means but we were getting by. 

Then COVID 19 came.  We now find ourselves in 2020 with both household incomes completely halted in one of the most expensive places to live in the US . The pandemic and subsequent state restrictions have made us unable to open our business for 5 1/2 months now, yet we still burden the expenses of our business in the hope we can safely open again and take clients. California is the only state in the US where hairstylists are in this position. Our Bay Area consists of the only counties in the nation that have not been able to operate like this. 

Daily we tune in for promising news on our industry.  Wether that be in the form of re-opening or in relief and sadly we are still waiting....

The scary part for us is there is no end in sight for our salon to be fully operational or for us to earn a steady income until a possible vaccine.  Any contributions are deeply appreciated as we consider our next steps forward for our family. Funds collected will be used towards bridging the gap in time until we can both work with a profit again. Until then, we look forward to seeing clients in the capacity allowed.
