Help Us Avoid Eviction and Keep Our Home

My family and I are in a very tight spot.

A series of very unfortunate events have taken place since last October. Two hurricanes left us broke, broken, and behind. Our rent, utilities, and car payments are so far behind that we are 30 days (or less) away from eviction! We have shut-off notices on both water and electric, and I will lose my car before the end of June!

I am disabled and share a home with my daughter and grandson. I am her only transportation to and from work. After hurricanes Helene and Milton hit us, I was in TWO car accidents within 2 months of each other; I lost my babysitting job AND my daughter got laid off work. Our landlord said he would work with us and he did, for a month or so. We have managed to stay afloat—barely—but he wants his money and we are out of savings and things to pawn! My daughter has since found another full-time job but is working 2nd and 3rd jobs to make up for the pay cut she had to take, but our rent alone is $2000 a month.
