Save the Pilates Studio

Hi, my name is Gina and I am an instructor/studio manager of Body Sense Pilates Studio in Blaine, MN. Body Sense is a small 5 reformer studio that offers a place for individuals to do pilates at an affordable rate while offering a source of exercise that is safe for individuals with injuries and other life ailments. We have clients with knee replacements, hip replacements, ailments like myself with MS, shoulder injuries. These are people who may not be able to workout in other forms and pilates is the only source of movement that they can safely get. We are looking to raise money to save the studio after a long road of tragic events the have plagued us.

After making it through Covid and getting back on our feet we suffered a devastating loss. Our owner and friend Bridget Dunn was hit and killed on October 25, 2021 while walking her dog Sully by a man driving a car on the wrong side of the road. The man fled the scene and left her for dead while her dog Sully ran home and looked for any help he could find. The man was later apprehended and convicted. During all of this we have been fighting to get back on track with the studio.

We have a VERY committed community of clients that have seen us through this all. We have cried together, shared memories together and started healing.

During this time we have begun to rebuild, and have been bringing in new clients to our community. While this is happening, and the ink was drying on all the loose ends associated with owning a business, some bills have begun to pile up. That is what we are looking to get back on track with.

We know that this safe haven for so many people is a viable business and for a number of individuals is the only place they can go to achieve healing. Please help us continue the vision Bridget had.
