- Hi , my name is Jessie Horton, I'm raising funds to help fight for justice for my son Cole. He's our youngest son who was murdered last year just a couple blocks from our home. His Mom n I heard the 6 shots fired sounding like in our back yard, and were the first to arrive on scene to find Cole lying there Dead with his eyes still wide open , riddled with bullet holes. We are still living the nightmare especially due to the fact that the killer is free running the streets, sometimes passing in front of our house and intimidating my wife. The murderer was released after serving only 1 month in jail. . My wife is suffering from PTSD and struggling to return to work,and I'm a small business owner struggling to make ends meet and keep up with bills. Cole played an important role in helping me run the business daily. His passing has left a huge void in our hearts , home , and business which he helped build. I'm also suffering from a marble sized kidney stone, lodged in my right kidney , and will need surgical intervention. We are unable to afford medical insurance at this time and will have to pay for the surgery 100% out of pocket. I'm also starting a movement to get legislation passed that would require higher bonds be set on 2nd degree murder charges to help keep the criminals locked up in jail while waiting for trial.
- The funds will be used to help pay for any legal fees and materials needed to go to battle. We'll also use some of the funds to help my wife and I stay afloat financially and keep up with our bills. This would also help us stay focused on the task at hand
