Jenna's Medical fund
Donation protected
I am Auntie to my beautiful adopted Niece Jenna who came from China when she was 13.5 months. She was abandoned at 10 weeks and lived in a China Orphanage.
Her hands and wrists were tied at night to prevent crib escape and a hugging nanny came once a week. She learned to walk at 15 months of age, 5 weeks after being home in San Diego.
She is now 10 yrs old and continues to have a list medical problems.
Jenna has lead poisoning in her blood from chewing on her lead tainted painted crib in China which has caused her difficulty with learning in school. She was also fed grounded Melamine plastic that appeared like dry milk in her formula. Her parents would like to send her to a private reading clinic that can help her more in her writing, reading, spelling and math. She has below level comprehension and cognitive abilities.
Jenna is feeling the stress in school because she is not at the same level of learning as her classmates and feels like she should be wearing a "dunce hat". The parents are afraid she will fall further behind if she does not get the right help especially as Jenna is getting older and is struggling in 4th grade despite being in her school's excellent Special Ed program.
Jenna has tested genitically allele - positve for Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, potentially deadly; sole cause: ingestion of man-made medication.
Jenna also has Congenital Torticollis, chronic spasm of her Sternocleidomastoid muscle, with Leftward Twisting of her neck, slowly causing twisting of her entire body leftward which impedes breathing . This causes pain in her hands and fingers. She is unable to hold a pencil for long periods of time for school work.
Jenna will be having a very special surgery that is only done at Stanford for her Congenital Torticollis within a few months. Only a few surgeons have been trained for this special technique and this is where she must go.
The expenses for all these medical problems add up for her parents. They have been struggling to provide the best care for their only child. The father had 2 layoffs for 30 months of unemployment. They are in dept for Jenna's medical bills and physical therapy and they almost lost their home.
Raising this money would provide the needed help for Jenna and help relieve the stress her parents have had trying to provide her the medical care.
Any donation is so appreciated for this beautiful China girl who has a heart of gold.
As an Auntie, I have given what I can and would be so appreciative and thankful for a donation from your heart.
