Corey Edwards, a talented young footballer for Charlestown Azzurri NPL, recently faced a life-changing event during a match against Maitland. At just 23 years old, Corey was involved in a severe head clash that resulted in a brain bleed, necessitating urgent brain surgery.

Currently receiving treatment in the ICU at John Hunter Hospital, Corey has a long road to recovery ahead. He will require weekly physiotherapy appointments and a minimum of six months in bed to heal fully.
