Hi, this is Bennett Strom. For those who do not know, my mom, Jessi Norman, is currently admitted to a Montana ICU with liver and kidney failure caused by an antibiotic taken on already sick organs. For the last few weeks, I have had to watch as my mom has been placed on a ventilator, needed emergent and continuous dialysis, required multiple blood transfusions, and become unable to recognize her loved ones by her bedside. My mother is only 48.

These critical events have left my mom with an altered mental status and an inability to get out of bed without assistance. For the time being, she is unable to work and will need to go to a physical rehabilitation facility for several weeks to regain her strength. Her continued need for dialysis and poor liver condition also has us pursuing a possible liver transplant.

Naturally, being suddenly unable to work has put a large financial strain on her and her husband, Aaron, who has been by her side constantly. Unfortunately, the financial burden has grown because Aaron has needed to take unpaid time off work to care for my mom and assist with her recovery. This is where you can help.

Throughout these weeks, I've talked to so many friends and family who have expressed nothing but love and a desire to help Jessi recover in any way they can. I have a lot of confidence in her healthcare team after seeing her bounce back from a life-threatening illness, but none of it will matter if they return to no home and only massive debt.
