Cows for Cambodia
Donation protected

Hi everyone,
We are very blessed to be joining Cosi on his next trip to Cambodia, in April, supporting his 'Cows for Cambodia' charity.
To be a part of this wonderful program we will be paying for our own airfares and accommodation, however, we have made a commitment to raise $4000.00 to donate to the charity, which is enough to buy 2 cows to give to 2 Cambodian families.
In 2013 Cosi launched Cows for Cambodia. 60% of Cambodians earn less than $1 a day and those in rural villages have little or no possessions other than the straw huts they live in. However, if the family has a cow their future is so much brighter - cows are used for transport, plowing their rice fields, manure for fertiliser etc. Unfortunately just the cost of a cow in Cambodia is $650 USD (this doesn't include vaccinations, feed etc), so owning a cow is not an option for 99% of cambodian families.
That's where 'Cows for Cambodia' step in. They raise money and head over and buy pregnant cows to give to needy families. 100% of funds donated goes towards buying cows, vaccinations and additional hay. Once the cow has its calf and the calf is old enough to be weaned the charity take the cow back (the family get to keep the calf), the original cow is repregnated and then is given to the next needy family!! The cycle of giving continues, and as the cow herd grows so does the number of families that are helped. Cosi's personal aim is to have 100 cows and therefore help 100 families!! It really changes lives and gives the Cambodians an opportunity they simply cant believe.
I would really appreciate it if you could help us reach our goal of $4000. This is a wonderful charity that changes lives.
If you want any more information or would be interested in joining the Cows for Cambodia program on future tours, please feel free to email me.
