Lawrence encourages, and models for all of us, what it looks like to be part of community and to take care of each other.

In 2020, during his tenure as President of Adair Park Today, he rallied the neighborhood to ensure seniors were taken care of and had food to eat and had transportation, that renters felt valued and looked after, that legacy residents were able to remain in their homes. He checked in on people and encouraged all of us to do the same.

Lawrence is a large part of the reason Adair Park was the official winner of the NextDoor100. And why Adair Park was singled out by Atlanta United as 'Local Heroes' in 2020 during the pandemic, and he was instrumental in getting The Lantern Parade over to the Westside Trail. Lawrence is a force and knows how to rally people to action.
