Jesus take the wheel for Rodney.

On Wed, Jan 13th 2016, our amazing super-human-like father, husband, brother, uncle and friend was hard at work, as usual in Jerome, Idaho. He was preparing to unload his trailer when he took an unexpected and catastrophic fall. Unfortunately, the back of his head took the brunt of the fall. He lost consciousness for approximately 5 minutes and was transported via ground ambulance to Twin Falls, Idaho. It was there they determined Rod had suffered a traumatic closed head injury to include a base skull fracture and significant cerebral hemorrhaging. He also sustained injury to his cervical spine at c3-c7. It was at this time, Rod was placed in a medically induced coma. He was then transported via air ambulance to a Trauma 1 hospital in Pocatello, Idaho, where he remains in critical condition in ICU. Shortly after Rod arrived to the Trauma 1 Center, family was advised of the seriousness of Rod's condition and the urgency of their presence at the bedside. The medical team was uncertain of what Rod's outcome would be in the next 24 hours. With 960 miles and a 15 hour drive between him and family, Ruby, Jarod and Micki booked a last minute flight to Idaho. The three of them would like to and need to stay with Rod until he can be transferred to a hospital closer to home. Given the unpredictability of Rod's condition and the many days to come, they all need each other during this very difficult time. We want nothing more than to have them home with us, but until then, we are asking for help as we continue to support them from afar. This fund is being set up in hope to ease a portion of the financial burden during an extremely stressful time. Last minute one-way flights to Idaho, hotel rooms, car rental, and meals are just some of the quickly, incurring daily expenses. Your contributions will allow Ruby, Jarod and Micki to remain at their husband and Father's side in Pocatello, Idaho, until Rod's condition begins to improve. We can not thank you enough in advance or describe what it means to us to have your donations. We will forever be in your debt. With much love and Grace, May God Bless You.
