I am Perfecto's cousin and I am setting up this fundraiser to help him with medical bills and finances during this difficult time. His wife Annabel was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago after going to the emergency room with unbearable pain. The doctors discovered a large tumor and successfully removed it. She underwent chemotherapy and remained positive and strong throughout her battle. In January 2020 they received the news that it had returned and on September 24th 2020 she gained her angel wings. Annabel (age 33) leaves behind her husband Perfecto and two small children, Julian (age 7) and Luna (age 4). With a loss this great it is difficult to think about anything other than your grief and being present for your children. Perfecto is the most humble person and would never ask for financial help even in his need.
A mother's love is powerful. If there is one thing Annabel was most proud of it's her children. At her celebration of life her family shared that Julian and Luna were staying with a relative at their home. They received a call to let them know it was time and she would be gone soon and to rush to the hospice center. Luna had fallen asleep so they took Julian and arrived at the hospice center. Her breathing was faint but consistent. They went back home and returned in the morning with both Julian and Luna. Within 10 minutes of them being by her side she passed. She held on with everything she had left until both her children were present by her side.
A mother's love does not cease. The day after her celebration of life we took Julian and Luna to Build A Bear. As we were walking Luna says " My mommy is seeing us... she is walking with us." We were overcome with emotion knowing how great her LOVE was and that it will be felt by them forever.
If God lays it on your heart to donate, it would be much appreciated. All funds will go directly to Annabel's husband and children to help with the costs that were incurred for her treatment, bills and anything else that they may need during this time.
