Hi all. I am Steven Slawinski’s sister, (Stacy) and with the help of Steve's friend Pete Aversa, I am requesting your help.
Early morning on Feb. 3, 2019, Steven was involved in an ATV accident, where he was thrown from the vehicle and sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury. He has slowly progressed and is doing quite well physically, aside from some injuries to his shoulder, clavicle and face, that will heal on their own in time. His main focus right now M-F, is six hours of therapy on his speech and cognition. He’s recently been approved to go home from in-patient services, and will continue his M-F therapy on an outpatient basis. He’s still not cleared to drive, so he will be transported back and forth every day. With that said, his paid time off will be running out soon, and as we all know, the bills will continue to rack up. He has a mortgage and the normal bills-- as well as child support for his son. My Mom has done a ton of leg work to make sure he takes advantage of any and all benefits available to him, but he still needs some help.
If you can spare even a few dollars, we would greatly appreciate it. We have no idea how much longer he will be going through the rehabilitative process before he can return back to work.
If it is not possible for you to donate monetarily, prayers, good vibes and happy thoughts are appreciated as well.
Thank you, from the Slawinski family.
