Hello,
We have set up this page to try to assist our friend Nick with his medical bills and expenses related to his pancreatic cancer surgery and treatment. Everyone knows how expensive medical treatment and surgical procedures are and so it is not necessary to go into the details of how much it costs to be seriously ill. Good medical care is expensive and having cancer robs you of your ability to work in order to pay for your care. Insurance helps, but it is not enough to cover all of a sick person’s medical expenses. We are asking for your help so that our friend can continue to try to recover without the added worry of being bankrupted by the expense.
Our friend Nick was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July of this year. He was plagued by agonizing pain in his abdomen that was misdiagnosed as an ulcer. The pain became unbearable and he went to the emergency room because he knew something was really wrong. His doctors ran every test they could think of and they discovered the cancer growing on his pancreas. After consulting with his physicians and surgeons, Nick had surgery last week and currently recuperating at home. The surgery removed part of his pancreas, his spleen and, hopefully, his cancer. He has a long road to recovery but we are hopeful that he will make it through this and continue to live a long healthy life. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly forms of cancer due to being missed or misdiagnosed until it is too late. Nick’s doctors are confident that they have caught the disease early enough for him to survive and make a full recovery.
Nick is one of our best friends and he has always been there for us when we needed him. He has recently been married to the love of his life and his longtime partner, Amanda. The two of them were just starting out on their path as a married couple when this illness struck. Starting out has been financially difficult for them and the hospital bills have drained their finances and left them with little hope and enormous amounts of stress. Nick needs your help and we ask that you do what you can to help our friend get back on his feet, back to work, and back to being the guy that we all rely on.
Thank you for your consideration and any help you can give. We are trying to reach a goal of $50,000 so that Nick can pay his medical expenses and get healthy and back to work.
