Stand Up for Staci

Stand Up for Staci - not just a GoFundMe Title.

This is more than a fundraiser this is about keeping a dream and a way of life alive for Staci Vredeveld and her family.  Staci will lose her left leg on August 31, due to cancer, but she doesn't need to lose hope.  When you donate to this fund; when you Stand Up for Staci you are helping the Vredeveld family raise money for a prosthetic leg so Staci can continue a life of service to her family and those in her community.

Please allow me to introduce you to Staci Vredeveld.

Staci is no ordinary woman.  She is a wife, mother, caregiver, teacher and soon to be -  a survivor of osteosarcoma

Staci is the proud wife of CMPD Sgt. Jeremy Vredeveld, known by most as "V", he has proudly served the City of Charlotte for over 20 years, with Staci supporting him every step of the way.

Staci is a dedicated mother to Amber, a beautiful 22-year-old young woman with special needs.  Staci and V adopted Amber in 2011 when she was 12.   Through their love and dedication, Amber has grown to be a bright light in the lives of everyone she meets.  Amber enjoys time with family and friends, swimming, dancing, and rides with her dad on his Harley!

Staci is the caregiver to 4 acres full of animals.  There is Wilbur the pig, Anabelle the mini donkey, Tango, and Cash the mini goats, Phil the rabbit, Harley the tortoise, Winnie, and Doobie the dogs, Cher Bear the cat, Thelma, Louise, Quinn, Blanche, Sophie, and Dorothy, the chickens.

Staci has given 20 years of herself as a Special Education Teacher in Mecklenburg, Union, and now Cabarrus County Schools to students with special needs.

Selflessly serving others is what Staci Vredeveld does.  Caring about others before she cares for herself is who she is.

The Vredeveld family found out this month (August of 2020) that Staci's left leg must be immediately amputated in order to keep cancer from spreading elsewhere in her body.  Insurance will cover some of the medical bills but WILL NOT cover the cost for a prosthetic leg.   In order for Staci to return to her roles as wife, mother, caregiver, and Special Education Teacher she must have a durable leg, and if insurance won't pay for it, then we will.

V will be selling his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle in order to buy a Yamaha side by side ATV vehicle to help Staci more easily navigate the terrain around the farm.  Any funds remaining after medical bills are paid and the new leg has been purchased will go to help purchase the ATV, if additional funds are needed for it.

The Vredeveld Family is a humble family that would be first to show up to help someone else, but last to ask for help for themselves, so I am writing this on behalf of them to ask you to please, please help this precious family stand together again.

Thank you for helping us to circle the wagons.

Join me and others as we now Stand Up for Staci
